What is Body Talk?

BodyTalk is healthcare designed for your body as a whole by Dr. Veltheim of Australia.  BodyTalk addresses the whole person and their whole story, using the entire context of their life to improve their health. BodyTalk is all about the body’s communication...to, from and within itself. And that communication is the key to healing. Body Talk focuses on reducing stress levels and fostering balance so that healing and growth can begin.

Body Talk is a complete health care system that works with the body’s innate ability to heal itself. During a session, a Body Talk practitioner uses a subtle form of bio-feedback to find areas of the body where stress has caused the body to become compromised which results in discomfort and illness. By re-wiring these communication circuits the body is able to re-establish the functions that were compromised so it can continue to heal itself in the way that nature actually intended for it to happen.

The Body Talk Practitioner is able to tap into the body's communication system using a subtle form of muscle testing (gentle tapping on the head and the heart) to get yes and no answers, identifying where the lines in the communication system have broken down due to stress or trauma on a physical, mental, emotional or spiritual level. Then through an ancient Hatha Yoga healing technique a sort of re-wiring takes place that allows the body to go back to communicating and doing the healing it was so beautifully designed to do.

The real beauty and true uniqueness of this system is that it is totally non-invasive. We do nothing except create an awareness of where the break down is and remind the brain to initiate the healing process or communication process where ever that may be in the body-mind-spirit complex.

BodyTalk protocol allows for the practitioner to tap into their own fields of expertise. This means you are getting not only all the benefits of BodyTalk but also the gifts and talents that the practitioner brings to the table through their own course of study.

BodyTalk Looks at the Big Picture

The BodyTalk techniques provide insights to the areas of your body that need attention. What might seem like an obvious problem to you is not necessarily the one your body wants to address first. For example, you get a headache, but often times, it's not our head that is the problem. It's all the other stuff going on that's causing stress or anxiety which leads to a headache. If we can address all that other stuff, then the headache goes away. So instead of taking a pill and asking the headache to go away, BodyTalk asks the body what is contributing to this headache?

This is the beauty of BodyTalk. It respects the body's own needs and determines your body's priorities for healing. Then with the use of a variety of non-invasive techniques, BodyTalkers refocus your body's natural healing response to establish better communication within the body.

The History of Body Talk

Body Talk was founded in the mid 1990’s by Dr. John Veltheim, who’s an acupuncturist from Brisbain, Australia. Dr. Veltheim studied and taught many different modalities, including psychology and philosophy, western physiology and neuro-anatomy and physiology, Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and energy systems including Reiki…plus so much more. Dr. Veltheim developed a protocol of a very sophisticated system of questions to find out what these priorities are and where in the body the communication needed to happen and in what order. It is simply brilliant. For more information about Body Talk visit ibaglobalhealing.com.
